Haines Junction, Yukon

Just came back from touring downtown, it took 10 minutes;-) There are a couple of really neat churches located in town. The first one was created in 1954 from old parts of Quonset huts. The second is a log cabin. Neither is very large but both are open. We are in the land of giant mosquitoes, the first we have seen since leaving Maine. We also got gas, $1.13 a liter which is around $4.25 a gallon. We will probably have to fill up once more before we get back into Alaska. Also took a picture of the welcome sign at the junction--one road goes to Anchorage the other to Fairbanks.
