Boulder City, NV

Another day of climbing mountains. We never went over 5000 feet but the grades were steeper, from 5 to 7 %. Also had to change our route at the last minute due to construction at the Hoover Dam. We crossed the Colorado River, it is the border between Arizona and Nevada. We are in Pacific Time, which is the same time we were on in AZ. When we cross into Utah we lose an hour, back to Mountain Time. I do believe I've got it straightened out! Pictures today are of Owen doing the final hooking up of the trailer and a road sign on the way about the down grade and runaway truck ramps. One of the Colorado River, a classic GTO we saw on the way to the grocery store (Albertsons), and of the the latest camp site. Again we have a tree ;-) and the view out the door is of mountains. Much warmer since we are in the valley, lows tonight should be in the 70s. Still below normal temps, should be in the triple digits but it was only in the upper 80s today. We aren't complaining. The terrain changed again today. Mountains are the "movie mountain" variety, not a lot of trees or shrubs but more cacti. Even the colors in the mountains has changed. The campground has lots of different cacti planted as well as our "tree" on our site. That is a big deal down this way. Descriptions of the sites will include if there are trees on the sites. Again no picnic tables and no pool. I guess eating outside and swimming just isn't done around these parts. Till tomorrow...
