Oklahoma City, OK

We can check another place off the list. Went to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum today. Pretty big place. Lots of displays, gorgeous grounds but as usual not enough Indians. There were some beautiful Native artifacts but more "cowboy" things. Many guns and swords, which did nothing for me. An incredible room that was set up as a town with school, church, saloon etc. It was set at early evening and had sound effects--train arriving, horse shoes being made. From there we went to the OKC National Memorial. That was amazing. Wasn't sure we wanted to see it but are really glad we decided to go. To see something nice come out of such a tragic event was worth it. The tribute to those who died is unbeliveably touching. It is quite a place. Still warm but no humidy, loving it!
